"Your Dress Is Really Weird"

It was quite warm out in SF earlier this week. Or at least warm by my standards. I should probably be clear that I'm not really a fan of warm weather, so anything 63 or higher is typically bordering on too hot for me. Luckily this eyeball dress is sleeveless, and perfect to throw on when it's warm yet still breezy out. Plus the last time I posted about it, I didn't get to show it without a jacket over it, so I thought I'd get some more thorough photos this time around.

The title of the post is a quote from a cashier at Walgreens. I stopped in to buy a couple of necessities while I was out and about, and the cashier couldn't stop giggling at my dress. The first thing she said to me was "your dress is really weird." She didn't mean it in a rude way, she just couldn't get over how strange the eyes were. It was hilarious to me. I've always known that I'm a weird person, with possibly weird taste, and I'm completely proud of it. The more I explained how I loved eye prints, the more she kept laughing. Hopefully it gave her some entertainment for that slow workday. I'm thinking I should keep wearing weirder and weirder things into that Walgreens, right?

Wearing:
'SOLT of California' Cream Cardigan with Silver Piping: Thrifted at No Shop
'Nina' Silver Block Heels: Thrifted at Idol Vintage
Straw Banana Purse: Dahlia UK

The cardigan I'm wearing is a thrifted treasure from No Shop on Valencia. I always find the best things there, for the best prices. If you've never been, please go check them out. It's hard to see but the cardigan has silver piping and even the cream part of the cardigan has silver sewn into it. It was one of those finds where I was specifically looking for this style of item, and happened to find it! The goal was to find a cardigan similar to this one from the Alexa Chung for Madewell collection. It's not an exact match, but close enough for me. And I'm still constantly scouring ebay for that actual Alexa Chung one at an affordable price and correct size, because you can never have too many classic looking, thick cardigans if you live in San Francisco.

Also, my poor silver shoes. If you notice in the above photo, they're falling apart. I love them so much, especially for their perfect block heel, and I can't resist any shoe with a good bow. The fabric is rolling up and off of the shoes, though. Maybe I should just rip it off and paint them silver with fabric paint or something. I guess I should try a cobbler  first. I hope they can pull through, because they're favorites of mine.

The last photo is the zipper on the back of my dress. I always forget to snap photos of the back of my outfits since my main focus is usually how the front looks. But the dress does have a fully exposed zipper on the back that goes from the top to the bottom of the dress. It's a fun detail.
