Tis The Season

So the next few posts are going to be from the last couple of weeks, when I was dressed up for different holiday outings. This outfit is from a night out with friends seeing 'The Nutcracker.' It was so much fun. It has actually been years since I've seen this show. Laughably, we bought our tickets pretty last minute, and had seats that were literally in the very last row of the entire theater. But the show was still amazing, as usual. It was almost more magical watching from the top, because it truly made all of the dancers look like little toys, similar to going to Musee Mechanique (if you haven't been and live in SF, you HAVE to go sometime) and watching the music boxes there. Plus, the music is great no matter where in the theater you sit. I've always been a fan of classical music, so I always love hearing a live symphony. Tchaikovsky's work never disappoints.

Greg and I also went to see 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' live a couple of days after this one, and I wore the exact same outfit (I guess I've been having a lazy holiday season). So there are a couple photos in there from that night, too!

Samantha Pleet 'Visions' Fall/Winter 2014

It hasn't really felt like Winter around here. Even with Thanksgiving having passed and Christmas in less than a week, it hasn't really struck me. At least now we're starting to get more rain, so that's helping my mind realize what time of the year it is. Anyways, I wanted to share this lookbook by Samantha Pleet, titled 'Visions.' I had meant to post it months ago, but I guess now that I'm finally feeling like it's Winter, it feels appropriate to share. Sadly most of the items have sold out, but it's still such a lovely lookbook to look at and enjoy.

You can shop the remaining looks at her website here and check out the video that was created for the collection here

An Eggcellent Day

I went to explore the Botanical Gardens and the Japanese Tea Garden on my day off. Despite being a San Francisco native (or at least someone that was born in San Francisco and raised in Kentfield, which isn't far from SF), I had somehow never visited either of these spots. And even more embarrassing is the fact that I work at the California Academy of Sciences, and have worked there for the past 2 years, which is mere steps away from both of these attractions. But hey, better late than never, right? They were both so beautiful, and I'm definitely planning to take some lunch breaks in the Botanical Gardens in the future. Anyways, I figured what better occasion to show off my new egg shirt from The White Pepper.

Oh and apologies for the redundant photos, I'm still trying to slowly get back into the swing of remembering to take photos of my clothes. This was kind of rushed because I was so busy looking at all of the plants and ponds.
